On Tuesday, 14th October, the Hurlingham Open will take off at Hurlingham Club. But one widely known polo player will not be able to participate in the second part of the Argentine Triple Crown: Frederick Mannix (+9) got hit by a mallet during the match against Ellerstina on Wednesday, 8th October and now suffers a fracture of a finger in his right hand. He will not be able to play polo for at least to weeks.
Yesterday Clemente Zavaleta, coach of the Alegría Polo Team, announced that the Canadian Player will be replaced by Alfredo Cappella (+7) during the matches of the Hurlingham Open. Previously the Argentine player had been playing for Santa Teresa in the Qualifying Tournament.
