Open de France and European Polo Championship: Polo In Chantilly (2014)

For all the news from international Polo, the blog of Argentina Polo Day we reported the latest news about the sport.

Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, England, Spain, Ireland and Austria are currently playing the European Polo Championship, that takes place at Polo Club Chantilly, in France.

In the last qualifying round, that took place today, Ireland beat England 7-6, and Austria edged Spain by a 4-3 score, in OT.

The semifinals, due on Friday September 12, are as follows: Ireland vs. Italy, at 2pm and England vs. France at 3,30pm.

Finals will be held on Sunday September 14.

OPEN DE FRANCE

Simultaneously, Polo Club Chantilly hosts the Open de France, for teams up to 16 goals.

Today’s results are the following: Vicomte A 12 vs. Edrees 8, and Ste. Mesme 10 vs. Creed 9.

The tournament will resume on Thursday September 11, with the match between Edrees and Silex, at 3pm.

The final of the Open de France is due on Sunday September 21.
